Admissions to school
The Local Authority has set the school intake number at 30 pupils per year group and up to 12 places in the Foundation Phase and KS2 Specialist Centres. The school governors have adopted Powys’s LA admission policy, copies of which are available in the school.
Parents who are considering sending their children to Ysgol Golwg Y Cwm are most welcome to contact the school and arrange a meeting with the head teacher.
In Powys there is one school intake in each school year. This intake will be in September, the beginning of the Autumn Term, after a child has had their fourth birthday.
Please note that if you are moving into the area then you are welcome to start at anytime of the year – please contact the school office for a transfer form or download the form from the Powys County Council website. This form will need to be returned to the address on the form and not the school. However, we would welcome you to come and look around the school.
