We are really looking forward to working with you all this year and welcoming the children into Year 3/4. Please sign up to SeeSaw where you will receive regular updates on what we have been up to in class, celebratory pictures of children’s work, and any important notices.

Homework

The children will be given their SpellBlast (on Hwb) and times tables homework on a Friday. Children will use their spellings in a language lesson in the following week. They will showcase their understanding of the selected times tables in TTRockstars during the following week. Often, I will task the children with Giglets homework on a Friday.

Reading books

We will not be sending reading books home this year. Instead, the children will have their Giglets homework to do. We will be reading with the children daily, as you will see on the timetable as “Readers”.

Snacks

The children are welcome to bring in a snack for their morning break. Snacks must be fruit, cheese or yoghurt. Please send a drink to school with your child every day.

Equipment

The children do not need their own books or pencil cases for school. We are lucky enough to be able to provide these for each child at the start of each year. Children do not need to bring toys, games or any similar items to school.
